Day 9: Mile 115-139

5/3/22 Miles

Woke up 5:37 am. Start hiking 6:15 am
10 miles to water source @ Mike’s place. Walked with Asaf for next hour forty-five. Lunch at mile 131 @ 1 pm. Hickory smoked tuna, fire. Phone calls to end day. J w/ Bodie at last water source. Camped @ gunshot field w/ Asaf and Bodie.

Miles are fake in the early morning and walking is fun
Remember the movie ‘Holes’ where the boys dig holes all day in the hot sun and wish the clouds would cover the sun? I started talking to this cloud, shmoozing, flirting and ended up getting lucky for a few minutes and getting this shade.
