Day 30
5/24: Miles 465-493
-Traffic Jam on the PCT Highway as everyone heads to water at the fire stattion
-I take on climb in heat of day. I go slow and keep moving. I feel like a King at the top!
-Ice Water @ Water Cache
-Ridge to camp is burn area
-Water fill by camp is creepy concrete flat cistern
-2 hiker meals
-Longest Day yet

Day 31
5/25: Miles 493-529
-Longest Day yet!
-Hike start at 6 am
-Buggy morning
-Take a shit on a hill with flowers and great view
-Just miss trail magic by Odds at Sawyer Mill. Hiked off trail to get up there quicker.
-Miles with Brewmaster, he’s sectioning from Idyllwild-Tehachapi
-@ water Brewmaster gave me some of his famous coffee! (Hence the trail name brewmaster)
-Lunch at top of ridge under oak tree
-Walk down to hikertown in heat of day (98 degrees, s/o Nick Lachey) Did not know it was gonna be that hot. Finish all water 1 mile out.
-Hikertown is dope! immediately fill water, see Louisa and Erica
-Shower! Just hot water. Needed cold, it’s the desert
-Go to Neenach for caffeine & a burger. Hang with Laura and Food Bank. Free Ice Cream! Jeff let’s me hit his weed pen.
-Bubble of 25 hikers leave. This was the party group. They hiked in yesterday, rested all of today to wait out the heat then depart at sunset and hike through the Mojave desert at night.
-I get some face paint painted on by Igor
-Leave a little after 8. Took about a 3 hour break on this day after doing 25 miles. I was trying to be a badass.
-Hike until 12:30 am. 12 miles
– Feet hurt, body tired. Cowboy camping with no sleep pad. Fuck it
-Up at 3 am to get up on ridge before heat. 12 miles to go. Got 3 L of water.

Day 32
5/26/2023: Miles im not eve sure

What an adventure! Depart camp 5/25 6 am @ mile 493. Arrive @ water 5/26 10 am at mile 541

-48 miles in 28 hours. Prety good.
-Felt real good in the early heat and climb out of the windmill fields. Nose breathing working for building endurance. Love listening to “Training for the Uphill Athlete”. It’s not about going hard, it’s making it as effortless as possible.
-Woke at 4:30 am to finish last 12 miles through Mojave desert.
-Sunrise glow through Joshua Trees was amazing
-Had long solo walk before I saw people from group from night before. I was singing, dance walking and ripping the harmonica
-1 30 min break to eat, air out, stretch
-Got to water but hydration feels fine from 5L. Immediately ate. I gotta be so behind on cals.
-Ants all over me at Tyler Canyon, I could not chill
-Watched Ted Lasso “Beard” Episode. Kinda odd. Fitting for today.
-Tuna Fish, hiker meal:beef strogonof
-Couldn’t hide from the ants and sun. 3:30 pm finally said fuck it, I’m out.
-Walked slow. Had some red bull & Clif caffeine gel (mocha) before uphill and danced my fucking heart out on climb.
-Camp 549! complete with red patio furnite & red umbrella like every family had when I was in middle school. Also had a library, hiker box, water. Amazing. Dinner with Unlucky (erica), Favorite, GOldfish, Shiny and Tom Sawyer
-Beef Chilli Mac in tortillas, alfredo pasta side, chocolate muffin that was left here, tea. So content
-Call from Delaney bc she thought I died hiking after out FT last night. She’s also in Mexico and forgot about the time change.

Day 33
5/27: Miles 549-566
-Slow morning breakfast w High Blazer and Louisa! Talked watercolors.
-10 miles with Louisa, great chat. about Love, relationships, enlightenment, breathing, cheat codes, lifting the veil, smitten. Found a Nic Stick! eating skittles off the trail. Coin flip joined us 5 miles in. electric guy
-8 miles solo, a leftover redbull infused dance walk through the wind turbines
-Highway 58 hitch from Jason! Gave me the lay of Tehachapi on the drive.
-Resupply at Walmart. People saying hi. Asking questions. Wishing me good luck. A woman walks up to me. “Do you need anything??” Me”Uhhh a place to stay tomorrow.” “Ok! I have extra room you can stay with me!” Her name was Sheryl and she let me bunk up at her house and cooked me dinner and breakfast it was awesome.
-Panda Express. Saw James & Mike, 2 cousins doing the third leg of the triple crown. Mike got me fuel. Mike Barnaby (different Mike) & Rylan picked me up! we gave Mike and James a ride downtown.
-Beers & Shower at hotel
-TK’s pizza. Tigerlily says hi!
-Wayland Brewing
-Get beers from gas station
-Go thru gear in hotel
